It is imperative that you follow the Student Illness and Communicable Diseases policy outlined on page 48 of the Parent and Student Handbook.
To prevent the spread of infection through direct contact (coughing, sneezing, talking, sharing articles, etc.), students must be asymptomatic without medication before returning to school. Students must be free of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and other symptoms for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
We rely on our parents and guardians as the first line of defense against infection in the school environment.
A sick child should not be in school but should remain at home, where proper care can be provided. A student who presents at school with symptoms of illness and/or is unable to participate in the day’s activities will be removed from the classroom, and the parents or the emergency contact will be contacted to retrieve their child.
