Our Lady Blazers Varsity Volleyball team faced the defending
state champions, the Orangewood Christian Rams, in the Florida
state class 1A semifinal match on Friday, November 10th at
the Lakeland Center arena. Many, many students, teachers,
alumni, and family members came out to support the team's
first appearance at states. The Lady Blazers made an impressive
showing against an extremely powerful and tall opponent,
taking one game in the best of 5 match. The final score was
25-15, 23-25, 25-10, and 25-16, with Orangewood advancing
to the championship match.
