Drama and Speech

Colossians 3:23 states, "Whatever you do, do as unto the Lord."

Drama is a powerful tool for sharing God's truths. Students study scripts with a Biblical message and perform these at chapels. Most times, students make the sets for their stage performances as well as wear costumes to enhance the performance.

Public speaking addresses a very important life skill – communication. The ability to communicate effectively touches every part of life. Students are taught to appreciate their communication strengths by writing and presenting various types of speeches. They also prepare and participate in the debate process.

Music

“Speaking to one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Ephesians 5:19, 20

Music is an integral part of Scripture. Throughout the Bible, praise is expressed to God for His workings among man. The music curriculum of Boca Raton Christian School is designed to encourage students to use music as a means to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. The study of music allows students to understand the awesomeness of God, to realize His love for them, and to build personal relationships with their Creator. Biblical truth is integrated while developing concepts sequentially with concentration on the study of music.

Visual Arts

"In the beginning God created..., so God created us in His own image..." (Genesis 1:1, 26) The foundation of teaching truth in art is understanding the truth of the creation by the Creator. Since God is creative, so are we!!

As a child has spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs, part of these needs are enhanced through creative and kinesthetic exploration. Art education provides this. Students are taught elements and principles of art through a variety of media. Reinforcement of learning is supported by school, local, and national exhibits, as well as parental support. A fine arts exhibit is held each spring to showcase artwork completed during the year.
