Four Areas of Focus

Enhancements

Boca Christian has ministered to the community for over 30 years. Some of our facilities and furnishings are over 25 years old and need attention. We need to upgrade such things as flooring, furniture, technology, and a patio awning. The restrooms need to be completely renovated. So, an important dimension of our campaign will include capital enhancements which will update the campus.

Endowments

The heartbeat of a school is its faculty. Boca Christian is blessed with godly, professional educators. We must continue to attract and retain exceptional teachers for our students. Caring for our gifted teachers by improving salaries and benefits is an essential component in achieving the mission and vision of Boca Christian. Initiating an endowment for teachers’ salaries will enable us to adequately support our teachers while controlling tuition costs.

We also want to expand our existing financial aid endowment to make it possible to provide for students who would not otherwise be able to afford a Boca Christian education. This year, with over $250,000 in financial assistance, we were able to assist fifteen percent of our families with financial aid. We would like to be able to help all who qualify.

High School and Athletic Complex

Currently the high school is located on the campus of Calvary Chapel Boca Raton-East. Boca Christian, in cooperation with Boca Raton Community Church, wants to consolidate the school on one campus. The church and the school have entered into an agreement to designate the east side of NW 4th Avenue to be developed primarily for school use. This is a wonderful opportunity for the school to develop new buildings, a competitive multifunctional athletic field, and to invest in and retrofit existing facilities.

When we add the new high school building to our existing facilities, we will have a complete high school complex with classrooms, labs, offices, a media center, cafeteria, band/fine arts room, a gym, competitive athletic field (soccer & football), a clinic, faculty lounge, and storage area. The complex will accommodate 300 high school students. The high school consolidation onto one campus would provide for a cohesive program. The benefits of having younger students learn from their older peers as well as providing leadership roles for older students would be an immediate positive influence on the student body as a whole.

Boca Christian's Campus

As Boca Raton Community Church expands their ministry on the west side of NW 4th Avenue, Boca Christian will develop the campus located on the east side of NW 4th Avenue. The east side facilities and land will be designated for school use and will include the remaining rooms on the third floor of the Ministry Center, the second floor 500-seat dining room and support rooms, and the entire RAC (Recreational Activity Building), including the gymnasium, locker rooms, café, music room, band room, as well as other support rooms. The chapel will continue to be a shared facility.
