Ignite Campaign
Teachers and Technology

We believe that if teachers are going to integrate technology into their teaching and learning they should have opportunities to be trained in its use.

All new teachers commit to 18 hours of instruction, over a two-year period. Workshops include Information Processing, Curriculum Integration, and Professional Productivity.

All teachers participate in workshops that introduce them to new software and tools that are added to the technology program. The current emphasis is on Integrating the Internet into Instruction. The Web has many sites that assist teachers in creating lessons that are current and interactive.
